DESCRIPTION

The Xuriguera de Salsellas' farmhouse is an isolated dwelling, built towards the end of the 18th century, and part of a 500 acres private state sited in the Serra de Salsellas natural area.

Back in 2003, the Vila-Puigcercòs family -originally from the Borredà area-acquired and completely redeveloped the Xuriguera de Salsellas' farmhouse and adjacent outbuildings and grounds and made it suitable for rural tourism purposes. The property is a member of the Catalan government run 'Independent Rural Accommodation scheme' (Allotjament Rural Independent-ARI).

The conversion was carried out in such a way that the property is now both practical and comfortable. Whilst a brand new swimming pool was built, all the original period features were delicately preserved, such as stone walls, wooden beams and open fires.
Xuriguera de Salsellas can accommodate 13 guests in six double rooms plus an additional disable single room, all of them overlooking the surrounding fields and gardens. There are two bathrooms on the lower floor, and three on the upper floor. The disable room is fully equipped with its own toilet and bathing facilities.

The property is ideal for those families or groups of friends who would like to switch off from hectic urban life and live in complete harmony with nature whilst still enjoying every comfort of modern life.
